  • When Jeff came into power things became even more strict, and isolating. He began excommunicating many of the boys and men.
  • Women’s dress became more strict. And the abuse got even more worse than it already was.
  • He would decide who each girl was to be married to, most were married to him. And finally the downfall of his empire came when he began marrying underage girls.
  • The whole town was under the thumb of the FLDS, even the cops.
  • Jeff Warren founded Zion, which was essentially Heaven on Earth. In reality it was a new compound in El Derado, Texas and he was kidnapping many of the children from Utah to brainwash them from a young age.
  • Mike Watkiss was an investigative reporter who was key in cracking down on everything that was happening in this organization.
  • He was instrumental in not letting it go. A few girls who had escaped eventually helped the police and were able to give information on the illegal underage marrying of young girls, as well as SA.
  • Finally there was a warrant out for Jeff Warren’s arrest and the FBI were able to get him on America’s Most Wanted.
  • He was living the life of luxury on the run going to Disney World, Las Vegas etc…having his disciples send him $300,000 a week to finance his life.
  • Finally, he is pulled over with a few of his “favorite wives” and arrested.
