• What we’re watching:
    • New Nailed It! Season
    • Don’t Worry Darling
    • BTS:

Intermission

  • Rings Of Power And the Failure It Was
    • Terrible wooden acting
    • Nonsensical story telling
    • Absolutely nothing happens episode to episode despite the showrunners trying to distract you with set pieces and CG
    • The mystery troupe used to a fault…when all of your stories a giant mysteries no one is invested
    • None of the reveals were a surprise
    • All of the timeline and lore was off by thousands of years
    • Truly beyond changing all the Tolkien lore, the show is just terrible on it own
    • Logically nothing makes sense and you end up rooting for the villain because your protagonists are utterly unlikable
    • Might be a bigger failure than season 8 of GoT
  • Good Book Fantasy on Screen….HotD
    • We have reached nearly the end of HotD and I could not be more impressed
    • Especially comparing it to Rings Of Power, it’s painfully obvious how you can succeed at translating book fantasy to the screen
    • HotD doesn’t treat the watcher like an idiot, they show and not tell, the dialogue is miles better
    • Character development is at it’s best, you become invested in people you see for 9 minutes total…RIP Harwin Strong
    • There are surprises but that follow what the show has already layed out
    • Every single episode raises the bar
    • Sunday is game day, it has created the unified fan watch party atmosphere and brought back the “must watch” day of type hype adds
    • We have one more episode left, final thoughts and predicitons
